| According
to folklore and archeological findings, the Chihuahua was originally
bred in Mexico and named after the Mexican State of Chihuahua and is
the smallest breed of dog known. |

| The
Chihuahua has no specification of height but rather a weight
describing their overall proportions. However, their height is
generally between 6 -10 inches. There are two basic breeds of
Chihuahua. The deer head and the apple head. The apple head breed has
a short nose and and close - set eyes while the deer headed type of
breed has an elongated nose. Chihuahuas have either a long or short
haired coats. |

Chihuahuas are highly territorial and protective which makes them
easily provoked to aggression along with a hyper active demeanor they
need much exercise and playful activity. Chihuahuas are totally
unaware of their dimunitive stature. However, they are very bold and
are very loyal to their masters. |
